Description

This motherboard is a micro-atx board by Asrock and it's got all the bells and whistles you could be looking for on an X99 board with the exception of USB 3.1. These features include but are not limited to SLI/Crossfire support,m.2 support, many MANY SATA 6gbs ports, dual ethernet ports, as wells as USB 3 and SATA express. This board also has full cooler support, there are some X99 boards in m-atx and ITX that do not have full cooler support.

Reasoning

Once again I'm found with few choices for the build I want, while there are many ATX and even EATX boards for the X99 platform there are few micro-atx boards for it and even less that meet the criteria for what I'd like for this board. In the end it was between this board and the X99 Stinger from EVGA, I ended up choosing this board to keep a black and red color scheme for the build. The price point of the Stinger also played into this decision due to the fact that it was a lot more expensive.
